STEAM Meet 2020
In conjunction with our Erasmus+ project on STEAM, we had our inaugural STEAM Meet on Wednesday, March 4th in Clare Education Centre.
The STEAM Meet was an opportunity for teachers to come together to share their thoughts, ideas, stories and methodologies for teaching STEAM in their classrooms and schools.
The guidelines for the STEAM Meet were as follows:
- Presentations were to last for a maximum of 5 minutes
- There should be no more than 3 slides
- After the presentation, there was 2 minutes for discussion, questions and answers
On the night, there were nine presentations. The biggest challenge was in sticking to the agreed times for both presentations and discussions. The Presenters’ openness in sharing their work and appreciating that of others was heartening. It was an honour to be in the company of such enthusiastic and creative teachers who gave of their time voluntarily to share and learn with others.
We are looking forward to STEAM Meet 2021 already!
