My Learner ID via Mayo Education Centre
‘My Learner ID’ aims to nurture the ‘who’ and ‘how’ of all learners ensuring the development of confident learners for life. Use of ‘My LID’ supports learner wellbeing, authentic assessment practices & school self-evaluation. ‘My LID’ is part of each child’s assessment record – balancing STen Scores in creating a holistic profile of ‘who’ each learner is and ‘how’ s/he learns best. This online course introduces you to ‘My Learner ID’ and invites you, the teacher, to complete the programme for yourself. You may choose to specialise within a class level and can choose from first class to sixth class. A key goal in completing the programme is that you will be able to implement ‘My Learner ID’ in your classroom with confidence.  Register here.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - PRINCIPALS AND DEPUTY PRINCIPALS, PRIMARY AND POST PRIMARY - 15th October 2019 (1pm to 5.30pm)  Cost: €20
School leadership is a hugely demanding job with on-going change a fact of everyday life. People in leadership are conscious of huge expectations on them and searching for ways to manage stress and share the burden of leadership.  We are also in a transition period as we move from hierarchical models to more participative, collaborative, team-based models that enable, empower and develop people.  In this workshop, we want to look at a practical framework for thinking about how we can be effective around change, at how we can handle conflict and some of the destructive dynamics around leaders, and at ways to survive and stay in good shape as leaders.  Register here.
