Tacaíocht: Supporting Clare's Primary School Leaders

Tacaíocht: Supporting Clare's Primary School Leaders
Clare Education Centre is organising a series of events for Primary School Leaders in the last week of January 2021.  Principals on the Management Committee of Clare Education Centre have organised these events to support our Primary School Leaders. Two of the events are scheduled for 10am starts and two of the events are being held outside of school hours.  It is recognised that the organisation of events during school time may be problematic but this is also an acknowledgement that professional development shouldn't always take place after school hours.  These events are being organised by school leaders for school leaders with the purpose of sharing our leadership stories, learning from our different contexts and getting insights into the leadership challenges and successes of our colleagues.
Sessions will be held online via ZOOM.  Please note that there is a separate registration for each session.

Making a Difference: Middle Leadership Matters

Making a Difference: Middle Leadership MattersThe building of leadership capacity in schools has a crucial impact on teaching and learning. With the changing educational landscape, there are significant challenges for leadership and management teams in primary and post-primary schools. This conference will challenge us to support middle leaders in their development of knowledge and key skills and practices. The conference will consider learnings from research and practice and will attempt to explore the key factors for enabling effective and highly effective practices in developing leadership capacity in our schools. This will be supplemented by inputs on key skills for Middle Leaders including relationship building, dealing with conflict and influencing others. This day will focus on building understanding, sharing learning and advancing good practice. Athlone, Clare, Galway & Laois Education Centres are delighted to host this conference and look forward to contributing to the growth of the development of the middle leadership layer in Irish Primary and Post Primary Schools. Please download flyer HERE.  REGISTER HERE Course date: 06-02-2021 9:00 am
