Junior Cycle History – Retrieval Practice in the History Classroom
Date: Monday, 23rd January 2023
Time: 7.00pm - 8.00pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
Target Audience: This webinar is aimed at history teachers but is suitable for teachers of all subjects of Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate.
Description:
The content we teach our students may be stored in their long-term memory, but very often, they are unable to recall or retrieve it
during an exam. This webinar aims to provide an insight into retrieval practice and how it can be used to strengthen our students learning and ability to recall information. Over the course of the hour, we will examine a range of retrieval practice methods and strategies that are tried and tested in the history classroom.
