Bio of Presenter: Cora McKenna
Córa McKenna is a Home Economics, Biology and Science teacher. Limerick born, Cork by accident, Carlow by marriage. Qualified in 2013 from St. Angela’s College in Sligo, working mainly in Cork, teaching in Glanmire Community College since 2016. Córa begins her next teaching adventure in St. Leo’s College, Carlow in Sept 2022.
Founder of TheHomeEcRoom, Co-writer of ‘My Brain and Me’ Junior Cycle Short Course unique to Glanmire Community College, Assistant Principal 1 (IT Coordinator) and Self-Published Author of AllinOne, an online digital bank of resources for the Home Economics Classroom.
An Enthusiastic academic professional passionate about cognitive science, lesson design, assessment and feedback.
