The Top to Bottom of Junior Cycle History Education Webinar Series.
In this 6-part webinar series Lee will be covering his top-to-bottom approach of teaching and learning in the Junior Cycle History classroom. The aim of the webinar series is to provide teachers with innovative and practical strategies that enhance teacher effectiveness and student engagement in the Junior Cycle History classroom.
Each webinar in this series is grounded in evidence-based practice and tailored specifically to the needs of the JC History specification.
The series is broken down into the six topics. Please note you will need to register for each session individually.

In the final webinar of this series, Lee will explore the methods he uses to ensure effective assessment of student performance and how to deliver constructive feedback to students that imitates the improvement cycle.
Topics covered in this webinar will include the idea of formal and informal assessments, macro planning of formal assessments across the JC curriculum and using whole-class feedback to reduce teacher marking workload and improve the impact of feedback on student learning.

Bio of Presenter: Lee O' Donnell
Lee O’Donnell is a teacher of Geography & History at Woodbrook College in Wicklow. He is the Author of ‘The Natural World’ LC Geography book with Edco. Additionally, Lee is the co-author of a Junior Cycle History Book. Geography/History Methodology Lecturer at University College Dublin. LC History content creator for Exam Revision. Host of the Leaving Certificate revision podcast ‘Skin in the Game’. Additionally, he holds an Assistant Principal II post in his school.
