Responding to Self-Harm in Schools

Dr. Richard Egan, Senior Educational Psychologist with NEPS, Clare will present to School Leaders on ‘Responding to Self-Harm in Schools’.

The presentation will aim to:

1. Build awareness, knowledge and understanding of self-harm within schools and the issues related to self-harm
2. Understand why CYP self-harm and what are the warning signs?
3. How to support CYP engaging in self-harm
4. Whole School Preventative Strategies to support CYP’s wellbeing

This will take place in Clare Education Centre on Wednesday, 22^nd October 2025 from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.  This presentation is open to primary and post-primary school leaders.
