Making a Difference: Middle Leadership Matters
A Conference for Middle Leaders
Primary and Post Primary Schools (Principals, In-School Management Teams and Aspiring Leaders)
DATE: Saturday, 6 February 2021
TIME: 9.30am to 2.30pm
VENUE: Zoom Webinar
The building of leadership capacity in schools has a crucial impact on teaching and learning. With the changing educational landscape, there are significant challenges for leadership and management teams in primary and post-primary schools. This conference will challenge us to support middle leaders in their development of knowledge and key skills and practices.
The conference will consider learnings from research and practice and will attempt to explore the key factors for enabling effective and highly effective practices in developing leadership capacity in our schools. This will be supplemented by inputs on key skills for Middle Leaders including relationship building, dealing with conflict and influencing others.
This day will focus on building understanding, sharing learning and advancing good practice.
Athlone, Clare, Galway & Laois Education Centres are delighted to host this conference and look forward to contributing to the growth of the development of the middle leadership layer in Irish Primary and Post Primary Schools.
