DATE: Thursday, 17 November 2022
TIME: 7pm - 8pm
VENUE: Online Via Zoom
Gerard Manley Hopkins is one of the more challenging poets on the Leaving Certificate English course. Stylistically, he may be considered too difficult for many students who may also struggle to relate to him thematically. In this session, Claire will demonstrate why she believes Hopkins should be taught to a Senior Cycle class while also sharing strategies to breakdown and simplify his poetry.
