This webinar for teachers of post-primary English will
- outline effective ways to revise Hamlet in class in the final 6 months before the Leaving Certificate exam and suggest how students can use strategies to exercise their own critical thinking.
- look at how this play provides specific and unique challenges to students, and how they can address these.
- provide practical strategies for independent work.
- suggest online and reading resources to widen teachers' own knowledge of the text.
Bio of Presenter: Julian Girdham
Julian Girdham is an experienced English teacher and conference presenter. He also organises researchED Dublin, a major international educational conference on evidence-based practice, which took place in his school, St Columba's College in Dublin, in 2019 and 2022, as well as an annual 'English Meet' for teachers of Leaving Certificate English.
