This Deputy Principals Support Group Session aims to facilitate deputy principals in the sharing of best practices and to take a collective approach to discussing a range of topics relevant to their role as Deputy and leading learning in their schools.
This Deputy Principals Support Group Session aims to facilitate deputy principals in the sharing of best practices and to take a collective approach to discussing a range of topics relevant to their role as Deputy and leading learning in their schools.
The following topics will be of focus for the upcoming session:
1. Deputy Principal Forward Planning and CPD- Participants will get the opportunity to
collectively plan CPD for the coming year.
2. SEN- Hearing experiences from participants on recent SEN exceptional reviews.
Participants will also hear accounts on new school builds in the region.
3. EAL and recent updates - A focus on EAL and how various schools are managing the
inclusion on recent newcomer pupils and the sharing of best practice in relation to supporting schools and pupils.
4. End of Year School Events – Sharing and discussing best practice in relation to these school events.
