"From Dysregulation to Regulation”

A 4-part trauma informed workshop empowering educators to recognise the signs of dysregulation and to meet the dysregulated child’s need in those moments and beyond.

Participants will learn

  • Psycho-education on overwhelm and trauma and its impact on the brain.
  • To understand and manage challenging behaviour, from big feelings, to temper outbursts and anxieties.
  • How to respond to those feelings in a child centered way to enable regulation.
  • How to use classroom management strategies to create an atmosphere that promotes regulation rather than dysregulation.
  • To set limits and boundaries without shaming.

Facilitated by: Aideen Flynn, MA, M-IAPTP.
Aideen has worked with children in educational settings for 20 years, starting as a mainstream primary teacher, moving into SEN working specifically with children with an ASD diagnosis.
