Restorative Practices - Trauma Informed Practice (EY) (P) (PP) (SNA)
DATE: Tuesday, 21st October 2025
TIME: 7pm to 8pm
VENUE: Online via Zoom
Target Audience: Primary & Post Primary Special Needs Assistants and Early Years Educators
In the tenth of their 12 part series Jenn and Joe explore the links between restorative practice and trauma informed practice. Similar to the
previous session on shame, no understanding of RP is complete without some awareness of trauma and its impact on the brain and behaviour. The good news though is that trauma can be healed, and is primarily healed in relationships. Furthermore many of the restorative skills are directly applicable in this healing - you just need the trauma lens in place first.
Each session in the series offers valuable insights, tips, strategies and resources in a separate aspect of RP, allowing you to navigate the various complexities with confidence - one step at a time.
