Achoimre ar an Tionscadal Píolótach "Agree to Agree"

Is próiseas nuálach, saincheaptha é an Tionscadal Píolótach "Agree to Agree" a dearadh chun scoileanna, daltaí agus teaghlaigh a stiúradh chun comhaontuithe áirithe a chomhchruthú thart ar iompar ar líne lasmuigh d’uaireanta scoile. Glacann príomhpháirtithe leasmhara – tuismitheoirí, foireann, agus an Bord Bainistíochta – páirt i gceardlanna chun comhaontuithe a chruthú a léiríonn a gcúinsí ar leith.

Trí leas a bhaint as an bPróiseas Féinmheasúnaithe Scoile agus Treoirlínte “Keeping Childhood Smartphone Free” a chur chun cinn, glacann an tionscadal cur chuige comhoibríoch a bhfuil bunús sonraí leis chun aghaidh a thabhairt ar an úsáid a bhaineann páistí as gléasanna atá cumasaithe don idirlíon. Díríonn sé ar shaoránacht dhigiteach a chothú, tús áite a thabhairt d’fholláine páistí, agus páirtithe leasmhara a bheith páirteach i measúnú córasach, rannpháirtíocht agus pleanáil gníomhaíochta.

Agree to Agree Pilot Project Outline

The Agree to Agree Pilot Project is an innovative, tailored process designed to guide schools, pupils, and families to co-create specific agreements around online behavior outside of school hours. Key stakeholders—parents, staff, and the Board of Management—participate in workshops to create agreements that reflect their unique circumstances.

Using the School Self Evaluation Process and promoting "Keeping Childhood Smartphone Free" Guidelines, the project takes a collaborative and data-informed approach to address children's internet-enabled device usage. It focuses on fostering responsible digital citizenship, prioritizing children's well-being, and involving all stakeholders in systematic evaluation, engagement, and action planning.

Pobail Scoile Rannpháirteacha (2023-2024)

I mí Mheán Fómhair 2024, chuir 10 bpobal bunscoile i gCo. an Chláir tús lena gcomhaontuithe ar leith féin, arna dtreorú ag comhoibriú fairsing leis an bpobal scoile níos leithne. I ngach comhaontú, tugadh aghaidh ar na fadhbanna is ábhartha dá bpobail scoile faoi seach.

Aiseolas ó scoileanna rannpháirteacha:

  • "This should be a project rolled out to all schools."
  • "Extremely worthwhile project and very comprehensively delivered."
  • "I think the whole process was executed extremely well."

Participating School Communities (2023-2024)

In September 2024, 10 primary school communities in Clare launched their own unique agreements, informed by extensive collaboration with the wider school community. Each agreement addressed issues most relevant to their respective school communities.

Feedback from participating schools:

  • "This should be a project rolled out to all schools."
  • "Extremely worthwhile project and very comprehensively delivered."
  • "I think the whole process was executed extremely well."

Leathnú an Tionscadail

I mí Dheireadh Fómhair 2024, sheol an Roinn Oideachais an tionscadal trí Oide – Teicneolaíocht san Oideachas in Ionad Tacaíochta Oideachais an Chláir, Ionad Tacaíochta Oideachais Thrá Lí agus Ionad Tacaíochta Oideachais na hUaimhe. Ghlac 21 pobal scoile ar an iomlán páirt, rud a d’fhéadfadh feabhas a chur ar fholláine dhigiteach níos mó ná 4,000 dalta agus 500 ball foirne teagaisc le chéile.

Is léiriú iad na scoileanna rannpháirteacha ar éagsúlacht na bpobal scoile, le daltaí ó chúlraí cultúrtha éagsúla, lena n-áirítear daltaí de chuid na hÚcráine agus iad siúd ón bPobal Romach agus ón Lucht Siúil. Ghlac scoil speisialta páirt sa tionscadal freisin.

Project Expansion

In October 2024, supported by the Department of Education through Oide Technology in Education, the project was launched in Clare Education Centre, Tralee Education Support Centre, and Navan Education Support Centre. A total of 21 school communities participated, potentially improving the digital well-being of over 4,000 pupils and 500 teaching staff combined.

The participating schools are reflective of the diversity of school communities, with pupils from various cultural backgrounds, including Ukrainian pupils and those from the Roma and Travelling Communities. A special school also took part in the project.

Aidhmeanna an Tionscadail

Déanann an Tionscadal Píolótach Agree to Agree an bhearna a líonadh idir an scoil agus an baile. Is í aidhm an tionscadail ná a chinntiú go dtacaítear le daltaí, bíodh siad ar líne laistigh nó lasmuigh de gheataí na scoile, agus go bhfuil siad á gcosaint agus iad ag úsáid teicneolaíochtaí digiteacha i dtimpeallacht atá sábháilte agus faoi mhaoirseacht.

Project Objectives

The Agree to Agree Pilot Project bridges the gap between school and home. The aim is to ensure that pupils, whether online inside or outside school gates, are supported and protected while engaging with digital technologies in a safe and supervised environment.
